Kai Cenat’s Vivet Makes NYFW Runway Debut With Lauryn Hill in Attendance

For years, Kai Cenat has understood something many traditional celebrities are still trying to figure out: attention is only the beginning. What matters is what you build with it.

At New York Fashion Week, Cenat took one of his biggest steps yet beyond the screen as his fashion label, Vivet, made its runway debut in New York. Nearly a year after introducing the brand, Cenat brought Vivet into a completely different arena, presenting a collection before an audience that reflected just how far his cultural reach now extends.

Among the guests was Ms. Lauryn Hill, whose presence immediately elevated the evening beyond the expected circle of creators and internet personalities. DDG, Karrahbooo, PlaqueBoyMax, Rakai, Tylil and members of Cenat’s AMP collective were also in attendance, creating a front row that represented the increasingly blurred boundaries between music, streaming, fashion and youth culture.

But Vivet’s debut was not simply a celebrity-filled extension of Cenat’s online universe.

It was an opportunity for the brand to begin establishing an identity of its own.

From AMP to the Runway

That identity was closely connected to the community Cenat has built throughout his rise.

AMP member Duke Dennis stepped onto the runway as a model, joined by Raysian Boy, Marlon, Giovanna Ramos, Alton Mason, BruceDropEmOff and Siebe.

The casting felt particularly fitting for a brand built around the idea of a collective journey.

According to Vivet’s invitation, the label’s story centers on overcoming doubt and discovering greatness through manifestation, knowledge acquisition, discipline, teamwork and faith.

Those ideas closely mirror Cenat’s own trajectory.

His rise did not come through the traditional entertainment system. It happened through livestreams, collaborations, relentless content creation and the cultivation of an audience that became invested not simply in what he produced, but in the world surrounding him.

Vivet now gives that world something tangible.

Clothing becomes another way for Cenat to communicate with the community that helped propel him from internet creator to mainstream cultural figure.

The Creator Economy Enters Its Fashion Era

Celebrity fashion brands are nothing new. Creator-led fashion brands, however, are entering a much more interesting stage.

The first generation of influencer merchandise was largely transactional. A logo was placed on a hoodie or T-shirt, fans purchased it, and the product functioned primarily as an extension of fandom.

The ambitions surrounding Vivet appear considerably larger.

A New York Fashion Week runway show signals that Cenat is interested in positioning the label within fashion culture rather than allowing it to exist solely as creator merchandise.

That distinction matters.

Cenat already possesses something emerging designers often spend years trying to develop: a global community paying attention to what he does next. The challenge for Vivet will be transforming that attention into a fashion identity capable of existing independently from the personality behind it.

NYFW provided the first major test of that idea.

Rather than separating Cenat’s internet world from fashion, Vivet brought those worlds together. Streamers shared space with musicians, models and established cultural figures. Members of the same creative ecosystem that helped build Cenat’s audience appeared both in the crowd and on the runway.

It felt less like entering fashion’s existing establishment and more like bringing an entirely different audience through the door.

Kai Cenat’s Expanding Universe

The timing also reflects the continued expansion of Cenat’s influence.

His Mafiathon broadcasts have evolved into sprawling entertainment events where streaming intersects with music, celebrity appearances, comedy and internet culture. They have demonstrated how a creator can build programming capable of commanding enormous attention without relying exclusively on traditional television or entertainment networks.

Fashion is a natural next frontier.

Vivet allows Cenat to move from hosting cultural moments to creating physical products that can live beyond the broadcast.

It also places him within a growing generation of creators who no longer see themselves as confined to the platforms where they originally became famous.

A streamer can become a producer. A YouTuber can become a media company. A creator can become a designer, founder or retailer.

The internet created the audience first. The businesses are now following.

Can Vivet Become Bigger Than Kai Cenat?

That may ultimately become the most important question surrounding the brand.

Cenat’s name guarantees attention, but longevity in fashion requires more than visibility. Vivet will eventually need recognizable design language, desirable products and a point of view strong enough that someone might want to wear the clothing regardless of whether they watched a single Kai Cenat stream.

That evolution does not happen overnight.

But a New York Fashion Week debut is a significant declaration of intent.

Vivet is being positioned as more than another piece of creator merchandise. Its messaging around discipline, knowledge, teamwork, faith and manifestation attempts to give the label a philosophy that extends beyond Cenat himself.

And perhaps that is what made the runway debut particularly interesting.

Kai Cenat did not arrive at Fashion Week by abandoning the world that made him successful. He brought that world with him.

Duke Dennis walked the runway. AMP was represented. Fellow streamers filled the room. Music and internet culture collided with traditional fashion casting, including model Alton Mason. And Lauryn Hill’s presence added another generation of cultural influence to the equation.

For one night in New York, Vivet became the meeting point.

Whether the label develops into a lasting fashion house will depend on what comes next, but its NYFW debut demonstrated something already becoming increasingly difficult for the traditional fashion industry to ignore.

The next generation of influential fashion brands may not necessarily begin inside fashion.

Some will begin with a camera, a livestream and millions of people watching.
