A month ago, I packed up my life and moved to Los Angeles. From New York.
Even writing that sentence feels surreal.
Over the last few weeks, I’ve found myself walking the red carpet at movie premieres hosted by Netflix alongside some of Hollywood’s biggest names like Jennifer Lopez, Brett Goldstein, Adam and Jackie Sandler; dancing under the California sky at a music festival like Coachella, listening to iconic artists like Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter and so many more perform live, something that people all around the world grow up dreaming of being able to experience at least once in their lives; attending exclusive influencer events, somehow ending up at not one but two intimate private concerts hosted by Snapchat, one of the biggest Social Media platforms in the world and all of this has felt more like a dream than reality!
More than once, I’ve caught myself looking around and thinking: Is this actually my life?
The funny thing is, Los Angeles was always part of the plan. Since I was 8 or 9, I knew I was going to live here. From when I began acting in theatre at age 10 and television shows by 20 in India, to building a career as a content creator, hosting red carpet events and award shows and interviewing top Bollywood celebrities, to traveling the world, and eventually moving to the United States, everything seemed to be a step up on the ladder that ultimately led to Los Angeles.
My journey has taken me across continents—from India to New York, through London, Dubai, and countless destinations in between. Travel has never just been about seeing new places for me; it has been about collecting stories, meeting extraordinary people, and discovering new versions of myself along the way.
Those experiences shaped who I am today: an actor, presenter, content creator, traveler, and storyteller with an endless curiosity about the world and the people in it.
Now, Los Angeles feels like the next evolution of that story. It feels like the destination where the final chapter of my story unfolds and all the pieces of me come together.
The energy of California is unlike anything I’ve experienced before. There is creativity everywhere. Ambition is part of the culture. Dreams feel tangible here. And perhaps that’s why this city continues to captivate so many people.
As I begin this exciting new journey, I’m thrilled to share it with all of you, through this other new chapter as a writer for Da Vinci Magazine. This will be the first of many regular contributions, where I’ll be taking readers behind the scenes of California’s most exciting happenings—from celebrity-filled premieres and star-studded events to hidden gems, luxury experiences, cultural moments, and everything in between.
