Aventura Swimwear Closes Ibiza Swim Week with a Stunning Sustainable Statement

A Bold Finale in Ibiza

On June 22nd, Aventura Swimwear brought Ibiza Swim Week to a powerful and poignant close. As the final brand to hit the runway, following 15 other designers earlier in the evening, the Croatian-founded label made an undeniable impact with a 16-look presentation that blended elevated design with environmental responsibility.

The runway, set against the Mediterranean Sea, became more than just a stage; it was a statement. Aventura Swimwear, known for its deep-rooted commitment to ocean advocacy, delivered a collection that wasn’t just beautiful but meaningful.

Eco-Luxury in Every Stitch

Founded by Croatian entrepreneur and marine science advocate Erik Leutar, Aventura Swimwear has become a rising star in sustainability. Each swimsuit in the Ibiza collection was handcrafted in Italy using Econyl®, a regenerated nylon derived from ocean waste, including discarded fishing nets and industrial plastics. This innovative material reduces the global warming impact of traditional nylon by up to 90%, a detail not lost on an audience increasingly attuned to ethical fashion.

“Closing the show in Ibiza, a destination known for its deep connection to the sea, felt deeply symbolic,” Leutar shared. “Aventura Swimwear is for women who want to feel empowered, elegant, and responsible. Ibiza was the perfect place to show just how essential sustainability is, especially with the sea literally surrounding us.”

On the Runway: Models, Moments, and Mission

The collection featured a blend of modern silhouettes, bold cutouts, and coastal-inspired colorways that embodied summer sophistication. From soft neutrals to striking reds and vibrant turquoise, each look captured the spirit of the Mediterranean with a conscience.

Notable runway highlights included:

  • Anetta Beri, the London-based model with over 668k Instagram followers, who stunned in a red cutout one-piece.
  • Maddie Tagg, fitness influencer and ambassador, showcased a vibrant turquoise bikini that highlighted both fit and function.
  • Millie Cooke, a Miss Swimsuit UK finalist, brought charm and elegance in a pastel pink one-piece.

For the finale, Erik Leutar himself took the runway alongside Luana Larkin, a model with 380k followers, who turned heads in a sleek black cutout design. Their walk marked both a personal and symbolic end to the evening, closing not just a show, but a full-circle moment of advocacy and artistry.

From Miami to the Mediterranean

Aventura Swimwear’s Ibiza debut follows a strong showing earlier this month at PARAISO Miami Swim Week, where the brand made waves with its clean lines and sustainability-first mission. With a growing international presence and a newly announced website launch for Spring 2025, Aventura Swimwear is positioning itself as more than a fashion label; it’s a movement.

As they continue to expand globally, the brand remains anchored in purpose: crafting beautiful swimwear that empowers women and protects the seas that inspire it.
