In a city synonymous with sun-soaked shores and trendsetting style, PARAISO Miami Beach unveiled a groundbreaking addition to its cultural calendar: the Swimwear Icons Hall of Fame (SIHOF). On the evening of Wednesday, May 28, 2025, the art world collided with the swimwear elite at The Bass Museum, as industry pioneers, cultural disruptors, and visionary creatives were celebrated for their indelible contributions to the world of swimwear fashion.
This wasn’t just another red carpet affair—it was the start of a legacy.
Honoring Legends, Shaping the Future
The inaugural SIHOF Honors Night was a glittering affair, celebrating those whose artistry and influence have redefined the swimwear landscape, from editorial visionaries to sustainable pioneers. Each honoree left a unique mark on the industry, reminding us that swimwear is more than fabric—it’s culture, confidence, and identity.

This year’s honorees included:
- Cultural Icon: Megan Thee Stallion — Celebrated for her fearless self-expression, musical influence, and unapologetic presence that empowers a generation to embrace body confidence.
- Media Icon: MJ Day, Editor-in-Chief of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, is recognized for revolutionizing representation and championing body diversity on a global stage.
- New Media Icons: Natasha Oakley & Devin Brugman — Co-founders of the swimwear empire A Bikini A Day, who built a digital community that influenced millions and reshaped how swimwear is marketed online.
- Photographer Icon: Jamie Nelson — Known for her lush, cinematic visuals that breathe new life into editorial swimwear photography.
- Sustainability Icon: Vitamin A — A frontrunner in eco-conscious design, honored for pioneering sustainable practices in luxury swimwear production.

Where Glamour Meets Advocacy
But SIHOF was not only about legacy—it launched a mission for the future. This year marked the debut of the Sun Safe and Confident initiative in partnership with Toty, the skincare brand founded by Sofía Vergara. The program emphasizes body positivity and the importance of sun protection, encouraging people to feel confident in their skin while staying safe under the sun.
As the evening unfolded, guests sipped on signature cocktails by LALO Tequila, were treated to a curated menu by José Andrés Group, and danced to the vibrant sounds of Selena Sofia’s DJ set. A live performance by the sultry and magnetic Caroline Vreeland elevated the atmosphere, weaving fashion, music, and art into one unforgettable night.
An Iconic Host Lineup
Guiding the night’s storytelling were three powerhouse women: Camille Kostek, model and TV personality; Paige Mastrandrea, Editor-in-Chief of Ocean Drive Magazine; and Karla Martínez de Salas, Head of Content at Vogue Mexico and Latin America. Their shared passion for fashion, inclusivity, and culture was palpable—each brought a unique perspective to the runway of words.
Cementing Miami as the Global Capital of Swimwear
The City of Miami Beach—already the epicenter of global swimwear culture—will soon take its title literally. Plans are underway for a permanent Swimwear Icons Hall of Fame museum on Ocean Drive, ensuring that the stories, images, and trailblazing impact of swimwear legends will be preserved for generations to come.
The night was more than an awards ceremony—it was a movement. A movement fueled by creativity, courage, and community. One that honors the journey of swimwear from seaside staple to cultural statement.

Partners Who Made It Possible
The evening’s success was bolstered by an all-star lineup of partners:
- Kevin Murphy (Official Haircare Partner)
- Toty (Sun Care & Skincare Partner)
- José Andrés Group (Culinary Partner)
- LALO Tequila (Spirits Partner)
- Blacklane (Luxury Transport Partner)

Alongside support from the City of Miami Beach and the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority, SIHOF made a striking first impression with a promise to inspire, protect, and evolve the future of fashion.
