RECAP OF DENVER FASHION WEEK – May 10th-18th Runway Shows come to an end in Denver

Denver Fashion Week (DFW) Spring 2025 dazzled the Mile High City from May 10–18, transforming The Brighton in the RiNo Art District into a vibrant hub of fashion innovation, inclusivity, and artistry. With eight themed runway shows, DFW celebrated both emerging and established designers, spotlighting Denver’s growing influence in the national fashion scene.

On the ground was Julie Trinh, a 10-year photojournalist, capturing the show’s most compelling moments from behind her lens… with Brit Olivia as a 15 year veteran in fashion journalism getting to know the designers via interview.

Opening Night: Sustainable Fashion

The week commenced with a focus on eco-conscious design. Brandi McMichael, founder of Fashion Denver, debuted her faith-inspired collection “Kingdom Work,” featuring garments crafted from upcycled materials and modeled by members of her church community.

New Addition: Swim & Resort Wear

For the first time, DFW introduced a Swim & Resort Wear show, bringing summer-ready styles to the runway. This was something new for Denver Fashion Week and from what we could see… it will return as it was a vibrant, fun show that the audience connected with.

Adaptive Fashion: Inclusivity in Focus

In partnership with Guided by Humanity, the Adaptive Fashion Show highlighted designs tailored for individuals with disabilities. The show emphasized accessibility without compromising style, reinforcing DFW’s commitment to inclusivity.

Streetwear & Sneakers: Urban Edge

Midweek, the Streetwear & Sneakers show brought an urban flair to the runway. Hosted by Lala from KS1075 and featuring performances by Sir Devon and PC, the event blended fashion with hip-hop culture, energizing the audience with dynamic presentations.

Beautiful Chaos: Sew Wavy presents his Collection beautifully… transforming chaos to beauty.

One standout presentation from the showcase was Sew Wavy by designer Deshawn Anderson. Titled “Beautiful Chaos,” the collection drew inspiration from the unpredictable highs and lows of life… a reflection on how even in moments of turmoil, there’s power in transforming struggle into something radiant. Anderson’s work captured this philosophy with striking clarity, offering pieces that felt like wearable expressions of resilience and creativity. Through layered textures and bold silhouettes, Sew Wavy reminded us that beauty often emerges from the chaos… and fashion can be the vessel that tells that story.

Maximalism: Bold Expressions

The Maximalism show celebrated extravagant designs and self-expression. Designers presented collections rich in color, texture, and form, pushing creative boundaries and captivating attendees with their audacious styles.

Society Night: Evening Elegance

The Society show featured sleek evening wear and sophisticated silhouettes. Designers presented collections that exuded elegance and refinement.

Bridal Showcase: Romantic Highlights

Saturday’s Bridal Fashion Show offered a glimpse into contemporary wedding fashion. Designers unveiled gowns that ranged from classic to avant-garde, providing inspiration for future brides and fashion enthusiasts alike. This show came straight out of a fairy tale with Guillermo Pharis opening the show and Bōda closing the show.

A Modern Classic: Guillermo Pharis Unveils His Spring-Summer 2026 Collection

In a season saturated with fleeting trends, Guillermo Pharis delivered something rare: timeless elegance with a modern heartbeat. He opened the Runway Show with a heartfelt gesture… roses on the seats for his guests upon arriving. His Spring-Summer 2026 collection unfolded like a love letter that we love to see on the Runway… reimagining classic silhouettes with contemporary ease and refined glamour. But also bringing the audience on the journey with him, ensuring they also felt just as special as the model in his gorgeous gowns.

But what truly sets the tone wasn’t just the gowns gliding down the runway. It was the designer himself. Pharis wasn’t hidden backstage or behind a velvet curtain. He was there, sleeves rolled up, ensuring every model was runway-ready, every stitch fell just right, and every final touch sang of precision and purpose.

Each piece told a story, crafted with care and intention. From the delicate placement of embellishments to the fluid architecture of his draping, his garments walked as if they were works of living art—because to Pharis, that’s exactly what they are. Fashion, for him, is not merely worn; it is experienced.

She Is the Moment: A Bridal Collection That Redefines Radiance with Designer Bōda

In a stunning debut at Denver Fashion Week, the latest bridal collection titled She Is the Moment turned heads as Bōda made their first appearance at Denver Fashion Week. The collection celebrates the woman who doesn’t simply arrive… she is that very moment in time.

Every gown in the collection is a reflection of that singular, spellbinding moment when the world seems to pause, and all eyes are drawn to her. It’s not just about wearing the dress. It’s about becoming the essence of the moment itself.

Infused with Parisian silhouettes, rich Italian textures, and the sparkle of old Hollywood glamour, She Is the Moment is a global affair. We were in awe of the designer’s approach at her first show in Denver and we look forward to seeing more of her work in the future. Youth & Mommy & Me: Family Fashion

Closing the week, the Youth & Mommy & Me show highlighted coordinated outfits for parents and children. The heartwarming presentations emphasized family bonds and the joy of shared fashion experiences.

Culinary Delights for VIPs

DFW’s VIP attendees enjoyed a curated selection of local culinary offerings. Highlights included fresh pasta from Pasta Press, Indian fusion dishes from Mile High Tikka Express, and sweet treats from Minnie Beasley’s Cookies. These gourmet experiences complemented the fashion showcases, enhancing the overall event atmosphere.
